Poker is a game of skill and competence, and poker tables are places where the Supreme beats the Weak and ...make money. In the public life of modern Greece, the opposite holds. The Weak beats the Supreme and make money!   Poker it's a game all about winning other people's money. Modern "Greek" politics and "Greek" banks is all about stealing other people's money.   In Ancient Greece, philosophers , mathematicians and engineers settled the European way of thinking. In modern "Greece", the country is ruled by a democratic dictatorship (you can VOTE your favorite dictator as you have seen on TV) of corrupted idiots (politicians) and kleptocrats (bankers), so philosophers, mathematicians and engineers have not any participation to the public administration and there are not any jobs for them at all!   So they have to do other things to ...survive, like playing Poker.
