€250,000 -I don't think I'll be able to afford it; therefore I don't think eating it will be a problem
But as you said ignore the price (I guess you are buying), why not? What do we have to lose? I would give it a try as I need all the protein I can get.
Who else is with me -its the future in 40 years?

Didn't Heston re-vamp the Little Chef menu some time ago? We have probably done the taste test already!!! I don't eat burgers, so wouldn't try it, but sounds freaky anyway. (Little Chef have announced the closure of about 60 or 70 branches!) Jeanie

As a Scientist I have a good understanding of "biomass" foodstuffs such as that garbage that veggies eat (quorn). Test tube burgers might sound crazy but in the future we might all be eating them.
Another source of protein beng investigated by scientists in order to produce cheap plentiful food is actually insects. This is already under investigation and many products have been developed. For example ground up locusts and grasshoppers have been used in bread.
At the end of the day insects are simply "biomass" and much of the worlds population already eat insects without any health problems. Indeed it has been shown that many insects are capable of providing a good deal of nutrition which is of course why scientists are sniffing around them in the first place!
As for eating anything at little chef. Well until last year I hadnt eaten there for ****eys years and I heard they had improved. Have they bullox! I had the worst dining experience in my life and left most of the utter crap they put on my plate. So Little Chef Vs little Bug? I think I'd rather crunch the grasshopper!
PS **** can I not say D o n k e y FFS! FFS apparently I cant say W T F either!! Censorship is wrong I wasnt aware that charman Mao had anything to do with developing the forum software!!!! IKP
