Would like a little advice or help here , basically I'm a tourney player , I hate cash games with a passion ( bad experience , bankroll management ) played a few sit n goes but not alot ,  I would be 3 tableing to start with either 5 bucks or 11 bucks or mixing depending on traffic , as I'm not a reg at these what. Can I expect . Where's the easiest cash , I'm thinking the 7 min blinds cos turbos can be a shove luck game . Top 3 get paid surely it can't be that hard or is it , feedback please before I start , game plans , strategy . Any help is helpful :)

$8.80 18 people or $10 18 people if your lucky. Personally I do very well in these games just make sure you play a little tighter than you might in a multi game and you should clean up.

I'm like you Donnie, 99% mtt. I have played a few double or nothing stt and like Gary says they are good for bankroll building. Maybe play a few of these and then move on to 18 seaters as IKP says.
Best of luck anyway.

this is all i play!!!!!!! apart from the forum games

$5 10 seat is FULL of ****s and calling stations i been playing these for 6 years and make a nice little earner from them. i like  to play 2 at a time as on a lap top the screen is to small to play any more. the traffic is always there no matter what time of day, i work shifts so play morning or late at night, the $10 games i find in a morning can take up to 1 hour to fill or they did last time i played them about 2 years ago.

tips for these sit and goes..............don't bluff!!!!!!!!!!!! no one folds!!!! if you got the nuts or think your hand is good bet out you'll get a caller or if you have position raise they will call you holding just rag ace  on the flop, they chase gut shots and they chase a flush on a paired board. varience can be a killer on these games so you can expect to go 15 games without cashing ( well thats my record) so make sure you have a bankroll to absorb this. but you can do this on a regular basis

my goal is to fill it with no red bits, i always seem to be one short.

i don't play as much as i used to due to working a new job but if you can replicate this  multi tabling then it's a good steady bankroll builder. my other advise would be, make a note once a month of how much is in your bankroll and how many games you played in that month. i do this because my bankroll can have a $100 swing and when it swings down and you think your not making any profit  you can compare your 'roll now to the start of the month and still be up without realising. it helps to calm me down Laughing

when i say steady bankroll building ,thats what it is. there will be no massive jumps like there is taking down an MTT so be patient. set a stop loss to move down the stakes but also set a goal to get your 'roll up enough to play higher buy ins. when you do move up remember to set a stop loss to move down again AND STICK TO IT.  i'd say move up when you have increased your bankroll by 50 buy ins for the next level and move down if your bankroll falls 30 times the buy in level you are playing at.

when i started here this is what i did and it worked for me . i started with $50 and played $2.50 10 seat sit and goes, i moved up to $5 when i got to $100 and i moved up to $10 when i got to $500, i moved down again when i hit $300 and for some reason, maybe cos i was new and had read no bankroll management i stayed at $5 till i got $1500 then moved up to $10 agian, i moved up to $20 when i got to $2200  i almost cracked 3k then got made redundant and cashed out. so i'm back to building up again and my goal is to have enough to take the the birthday bash then enough left to move up to $10 again

good luck

Impressive Grumpy.

Always win sit n gos, but do not enjoy playing them much.

Although, would deffo improve my final table game as goblin says.

So, food for thought.

Cheers grump for that , I have decided to play the 6 seater top 3 paid games , just because I reckon ( hopefully ) I can cash in them alot  and maybe the swings won't be as bad as the 10 seater or 18 seater games . School hols are approaching fast and I'm gonna have to cut down or stop playing tourneys so need to try this out . U say u went 15 games with no cashes , when do u close the laptop and call it a bad day  ? I'm going to play 50 5 buck 6 seater and see what happens , maybe see some of you's at the tables :)

I play the 6 seaters and have had some great experiences playing these, though I hit a massive slump after starting to play tournies as i was being too aggressive in the SnG (a cross over from tournie play), as I have messed my BR doing this I'm having to play cash at the moment and slowly rebuild it playing tight agressive ABC poker Frown

The best thing about the 6 seaters is if you keep your head down there is usually enough numpties to see you into the cash without barely playing a hand, the tricky part is then turning these into wins as the other two numpties will then out chip you, but that is gear change time and hit them with some real poker, which due to your previously tight play throws them completely.

I have also found if you play same time of day you will come accross the same players regularly so you can get some great notes and reads on them, I found afternoon best time to play, with morning dangerous due to crazy ozzies, and evenings full of casual players. I also find Friday night on these a horrible time to play as everyone is drunk. my favourites are the $5 and $10 dollar with the $1.20 and $2.50's being fish central (you'd be better off tossing a coin).

I also found investing in a tracker priceless if you are planning to churn the tables, at a very quick glance you can spot the maniac or the super tight player.
