Here goes then. My day started at 2.am with my Labrador Molly waking me up, and again at 6.am, since I  lost her mother and brother earlier this year when she wakes up in the night she decides she is lonely and howls at the bottom of the stairs until one of us gets up, twice is unusual though.

It is to be fair usually Calvin(my hubby) who gets up with her but as today was his Birthday he deserved a lie in.

The rest of the day follows a usual pattern taking Molly for a walk, housework, washing etc, when you are retired things take on a usual daily routine. Then there is the usual hour I spend gossiping with my friend Paula I see her most days ( some of you met her at last years Bash).

As it was Calvins Birthday the elder ones of my grandchildren decided to surprise him turn up unanounced and treat us both to a nice Indian meal for his birthday, we had a really good night.

So nothing really exciting but small things are important as well as big ones .

Or if you live on your own, what about leaving the door open, so that she can come and go without waking you both. Love curry so as I'm supposed to change my lifestyle for health issues, curry is off my menu at the moment.

LO Both suggestions are out she is too old to climb the stairs now and I draw the line at sleeping downstairs LOL ( different if she was ill ).Yes the curry was really nice thank you.

Today , the usual chores in the morning followed by a trip out to the remnants of the sales with Paula. I have a thing about Christmas decorations , my Christmas tree is about 11ft high my rooms have 10ft ceilings and it has to be bent over at the top, so now the sales are on I can buy decs for it expensive ones at a fraction of the original price, the tree is twenty years old and I have been buying things for it all that time and it is still not full, I might succeed before I get the call from above.

After that little trip out , cooked tea and played poker, nothing new there but at least I cashed in both my games 3rd in the Forum knockout game and 13th in the 600
guaranteed Omaha Hi/Lo .Paid for my purchases this afternoon can't be bad.

Goodnight all.

Having a routine is a good thing! and it makes those little extras we do that much more enjoyable

My mother used to do the same with xmas deccorations! I was amazed by how much stuff she had, but I'm not a Xmas person so it's all now boxed up in the loft because I couldn't bring myself to throw it out
I'm too old to die young

I hope you managed to get some good stuff in the sales.  Only been across the doors 3 times in 3 weeks but still managed a couple of bargains on line.  My only problem is I buy a few for the family too, lol.

I do exactly the same.  Each year I buy new decorations, as they are half price and sometimes less, and I got some real bargains this year.  There was a snowman which was £50 before Christmas, and I got him for £10. He looked great standing on the bottom of my stairs for the few short days after xmas, before I removed the decs for another year. All Christmas cards and wrapping paper also purchased for way less than half price!  And I have already purchased a few gifts in readiness for next Christmas.  Too organised sometimes, as this year everything was bought and wrapped by the end of december!

Another day another dollar ,or so the saying goes, managed to cover my outlay on the tables tonight, 6th in the knockout, and 10th in 600 hi/lo so not too bad, I must stop playing that game it keeps me up too late,

My house looks like a bomb has been dropped, I have been puting my decorations away, it takes me two days to do it, half empty boxes everywhere,a place for everything and everything in its place . It looks like I am moving house. Tommorow is going to be another long day.

As well as having a thing about Christmas decorations , I also have a thing about vintage caravans and I am the proud owner of a 1971 Astral Scout its a two berth and only 9 ft long, just enough room for a bed wardrobe a few cupboards the sink and grill/hob. I have been waiting for the weather to improve so I can get a few jobs done on it and at last it looks like we are in for a spell of dry weather so next week will be busy for me and this blog may be a bit more interesting, if your a caravan geek that is.

My life Rhonda no wonder your blood pressure is up, I wonder you have enough time in the day, you need to relax girl, and I agree with Slim get another quote for your bathroom, same thing happened to us when we had ours updated last year, our first quote was £3000, we ended up paying about £1700 for a perfectly good job by geting more quotes.

Well that is it for today actualy it is tommorow already so I am gone.

Night night all sleep tight and stay well

Hi, had a busy few days, started spring cleaning, early like the weather, shopping for more decorations as well there are some real bargains to be had at the end of the sales.

Caused a commotion  last night, I left my phone in the car and hubby left his upstairs , my daughter was trying to get us all evening, when I eventualy remembered to go and get my phone about 11.30 pm I recieved a phone call from her, where were we, were we alright, she had been trying to get us was worried sick etc, at this stage she was on her way to our house  , anyway it turned out it was all my fault I should be more careful with my phone, nothing unusual there then, it all turned out ok and she was able to go back home.

More work on the cards tomorrow , starting to decorate downstairs, mammoth task. really looking forward to it ( not) .

As usual nothing really exciting to report, work hasnt stopped me playing poker, wished it had, two bad nights, thats the way it goes, no play tomorrow going to see the grandchildren.

thats all folks

night night , stay well.
