Only just got back to reply to this, thanks everybody who took the time to post comments/advice regarding the way I played the hand, I agree 600 raise post flop was probably too small and looked weak, but I was trying to make it look " tempting" I would often check in that situation, but what would 101,s response to that be, the same I think, and if I had made a bigger raise I think he would still have kept coming, I dont think he would have given up that pot whatever my actions, I know how he plays and he said himself, he likes to get me to fold! But I knew my hand was good, and was pretty sure he didnt have anything higher than a pair. I consider 101 to be an excellent player and that is why I said I hate playing him, I can never beat him and he always ends up taking my chips, and then calls me a bully, which I take in good spirit. I dont know what the definition of "Rock" is in poker, but Im gonna find out and address it. So this has been constructive for me and given me several things to look at in my game, which is surely exactly what Sean intended in his post introducing this game, I admitted in the game I am not a beginner, but I would class myself as 1 of the less able, thanks for the analysis guys. Am hoping to learn from it. Jeanie

Good response Jeanie If it is any consolation you were one of the players that regularly kicked my ass when i restrated playing again a few months back, and it has taken me a little while to build mt confidence against you. Good luck in your games

OK i explained my 1
just a few points on the whole post not the hand .....
1,Crypto u old dinasaur adapt to play like us internet kids or go extinct
2,Shiny the buy in does matter despite what you say,if people play there top limits they are playing scared so don't play properly if people play a minimum amount that doesn't matter to them, they will gamble
Im not saying it's right but thats how it is
3,My main point about the $1 rebuy wasn't infact the $1 everyone picked up on,it's the rebuy/add on and so many chips bit,the game would be better as a freeze out
4,Jeanie's got some front moaning about who's playing this beginers game because she's been here longer than most
5,i often join forum games just to support them and have a chat really, some of these games i would never play if they was in main lobby,
but a couple of times now i've wondered wether i should have bothered,
1 was morning league final day,i never knew it was final day and that i could donk someone out and cost them title,
another was the hi/lo when i took a load of abuse from 1 player (well gave it back as well tbh)
and now it's seem's i've upset Jeanie again which is last thing i want because she seem's a lovely lady when she aint moaning at me
so should members join these games or not ?
6,Just so you know my luck's same as everyone some hands i win some i lose,i went out this game my AA v QQ Q on River ,justice 4 Jeanie maybe
Good Luck @ the tables,im off to Dublin
Right here goes 101. 1. I am not upset. 2. I dont have a problem with you, (other than your poker skills, which is why I hate playing you, you always take my chips!) 3. I dont think you are an evil person. 4. I didnt say it was wrong to win so many super stack live event seats, but when you joined the table and reeled off how many you had, I said, "No wonder people like me can't win 1" 5. I did say I was not a beginner, and I did not moan about anybody else playing in the game. 6. I am just a normal old lady, and I dont recall "moaning" at you. 7. I get no satisfaction from how or why you got knocked out of the game. 8. I simply want to improve my game, Lord knows it needs it, that is why I was playing it, and I was under the impression this game was introduced purely for that reason. Your comment, that you only played to give you a "2nd table "on the go, isn't really in that spirit is it? 9. All I did was ask for my hand to be 1 of those discussed, and if you read Sean's original post, you will see that is a stipulation of taking part in the tournament, putting hands up for discussion and giving feed-back. I don't know why I am having to defend myself from all these personal comments. But defend myself I will.

Some good points all round. The game I suggested for this had a different name and buy in but 888/Sean changed it to what it is now and to be honest I still think my original idea was better suited to my plans to try to help other players. Part of my reasons for suggesting these games was that I needed a better reason for playing poker online than the "just for fun" one that has now lost some of its appeal so I thought this little venture up as I have a lot of time I can use more constructively. My original idea was a freeze out and I will be asking for that to be changed when Sean comes back from his holidays. I really don't think we need the $50 gtd either as that might encourage the wrong type of players if they see any added value. I am still playing with my video capture software which is why it sometimes takes me a while to get the video right, that plus the limited size I can upload to the forum makes it difficult. I have plans to reward players who show improved performances in these games over time and I am also looking into running some private web cam freerolls for regular players so that we can talk about hands and plays during the game. Lets all get stuck in again this week and see if the old, new or nearly extinct poker wins the day GL all.
Post, then make another post and then post even more.

For Jeanie, The Rock (tight-passive)A Rock only plays few hands and is a player who rarely bets and very rarely raises. If you get action from such a player, you can almost be sure that he holds a strong hand. Benefits of tight-passive play
- Limitation on the good starting hands, which normally reduces losses
- If many aggressive players sit at the same table, this is a good strategy, because the other players will take care of betting and bluffing. Therefore, a rock can get action without having to bet by himself (which would make attentive players fold)
Disadvantages of the tight-passive play
- By his passive way of playing, a Rock is not getting the maximum profits from good hands. Furthermore, he is giving opponents the chance to draw him out on dangerous boards (e.g. if there is a risk that an opponent can complete his flush or his straight), as he does not protect his strong well enough
Optimal strategy for playing against a Rock
- If he is sitting in the blinds, try to steal the blinds with a 3BB raise from late position
- If a rock bets or even raises preflop you should only play the very best starting hands and fold the rest of the hole cards
- If you have a drawing hand on the flop, checking is usually the best strategy. As a Rock rarely bets, you will often get to see the next board card “for free”
