Why had the all the quarantee on 888 all been cut ?

Not sure sundance, but we think its because of the situation with the spanish players being unable to play as traffic is now down

Exactly sharon, with the spanish having their own 888.en site now, guarantees have to be reduced because of the loss of revenue from the spanish based players. I'm sure though these games will be contantly reviewed & changes will be made according to the number of players

Guarantees also drop during major sporting events like the Euro's as traffic drops considerably during these times. Having no Danish or Spanish players allowed on the site will of course make a big difference so we will just have to wait and see if the guarantees drop on a permanent basis.

We increased guarantees in January by over $1.5 million a month, and continued to add more to the tournament prize pools for the three months following as the winter months kept many of our members indoors and playing on 888poker. Our recent, and temporary, change in guarantees is just that –temporary. We still continue to offer you fantastic guaranteed tournaments with affordable buy-ins which makes for great value!
With the Euros, Olympics, WSOP and Summer months upon us, it is only prudent that we make adjustments as we did when the Autumn and Winter months were here.
