Ok my 2nd day grinding the micros, just over 1k hands and started of ok but then went through a bad patch and was treading water from about 500 - 600 hand mark, the hands i was playing were all missing there draws my premium pocket pairs were getting outdrawn and my sets were getting beaten by bigger 1s. My next 300 or so hands my luck started to change and my hands were holding up, and my last 100 i began to lose focus as my son came back from a party and i couldnt concentrate so stopped playing on about 1100 hands.

Ok couple of questions i want to ask.
1. We get dealt AK suited utg we raise up get 3 callers then the button raises now i generally have been reraising to try and thin the field generally doesnt work on the micros. But if i do get just the button calling and the flop comes down 2-5-9 rainbow we lead out button calls and the turn pairs do we continue firing? Or check call, check fold?
2. Now swap this round and we are on the button do we reraise any bet?
3. I have been playing small to mid pairs slowly in most postions hoping to hit a set is it best just to raise any pair in most postions?
4. What are your views on bluffing in F/L micros? ( by the way i never bluff lol ).

Hello again , I will try to answer these questions .
question 1) because you have a good starting hand I would raise , not to thin the field because that won't happen in micro F/L but to build a pot and would watch to see the action after me usually then if re-raised I would simply call . when the flop comes as you said 2-5-9 .. this is not to bad to see a call , you have 2 overcards and a backdoor draw here i would check and call . On the turn you said it pairs (the board or your hand ? ) if it is the board , here I would probably check / fold .
Question 2) Depending on your holdings and info on table I might reraise here ( but generally call )
Question 3) because this is micro F/L ( meaning almost no one folds ) I would just call to see a flop and go from there depending on board texture .
Question 4) micro F/L again , not a good Idea to bluff here
in transition

hi slim i met you on 2&4cent fixed the other night, i have jumped up to 5&10 in last few days & have won alot more than i did at 2&4,ok heres my opinioun, ok on micro especially fixed games you will get your prem pre flop hands called by most players as your raise is fixed you can not bet your oponents out of it including me,ok fixed games are controlled bettin as you can not go al in, hers the way i aproach the game, firstly i have opened my range of cards in fixed games i will play 23 34 45 67 49 akqj& any pockets so on u might call this fishing & i do fish if i have got a draw on flop as its only 5cents to call, hers the break down its 5 cents to see a flop i will call most flops with my range maybe it get raised to ten ok i still call havin put 5 in already, flop comes out & if ive got a draw or even a 4 card draw i will call to the turn as it is a fixed bet of only 5 cents havin put 5or ten in already i call this pot value, so ive called to the turn & its cost me only 15 centswith the pot being maybe 50 60 cents .ok now the bettin goes to ten maybe other players bet if i got draw or the nuts im checking here to see what the other players are doing.so ile give you an example of a a hand i have played,ok i get dealt 89off i call the flop5 cents it gets raised to ten so i call flop comes out 7j ace,ok i have a draw i check with 3 other players in hand, one player bets the other folds 3rd player calls & i call,ok so pot is 55cents,turn comes out king i check still having a draw player 1 bets 10 cents player 2 calls i call pot is 85cents,final card river is a ten i have hit my straight i check player 1 bets 10 he has ak by the way2 pair player to has raised it to 20cents he has tripjjj i think to myself maybe they have a higher straight but having already invested i pop another raise to 30 cents player 1 raises again to 40 cents witch is max raise player 2 calls i call ok pot is $2.01 minus rake & i win the pot.so in closing my advice is open your range & be prepared to speculate. just a extra note i hear some players called d o n ks or fish usually i get called a fish but it doesntbother me what they think & its when they have pre flop or flop nuts only for me to run over them on the turn or river, example they have ak suit i have 47 off they hit their ace or king & i hit runner runner straight, this might annoy players but it is a part of poker some players have a nice starting hand & cant belive they have lost to such a bad hand but it is not what you start the hand with its what you finish with, beginers play only premium hands like akaqaja10 pockets & maybe suits,if i see playes only playin these hands i try to exploit them, also you need to read the boards if the boards are comin out low play low,or if the players are playing high play low as they are holdin simaler cards opens the door for you to go low, ok in finishig up try to play cards like 23 of 67 of 89 48 36 47 mid range suits pretty much any two cards that can give you a low end straight you will be amazed how many times you win.

@apachetear, was good seeing another forum member on the tables and i enjoyed reading your post, im still a bit rusty on the F/L tables and will play 10k maybe 20k hands on the micros and i am playing the full ring at 2-4 and short handed at 5-10. Im not doing this to make big money im doing this as an experiment for members in our forum that want to build a B/R without the big swings that you get in omaha which is my normal game, i have also been watching the higher limits whilst playing and i will be taking a stab at them games when im less rusty. I will post up my next graph when im on 5k hands just to see if i can keep my graph going in the right direction, last night i had a 500 hand session that took a nice dip as was outdrawn nearly every hand. And like omaha i have learned not to fall in love with Aces if im up against many hands and its a bad flop for them. Will be good to get your input Andy as i know your F/L game is alot stronger than mine.

Good to see a few more of you on the tables tonight, unlucky Andy and venom it does get frustrating when the river always seems to hit the vilains hand. This is definately a long term process and dont get down if you lose a few sessions as long as we are going in with the best hand thats all we can do. @apachetear hope you had good ses on the short handed tables.
@nitevenom i know you are starting out on the F/L tables but dont get down if it doesnt seem to be clicking into place, if i send you a few $s will you sit at the tables with more than the min buyin as other players prey on the short stacks (i do).
