And nobody thought to post it on here?

It's Official: PokerStars to Buy Full Tilt Poker

July 31st, 2012 | 9:06 pm

PokerStars publicly confirms its agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to purchase Full Tilt Poker, and repay all players from outside the U.S.A.

By Matt Marietta,

On July 31st a statement appeared on Full Tilt Poker's website, stating that as part of its agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), PokerStars has obtained Full Tilt's assets, and will re-launch the online poker room under their own management.

Nice, But Where's My Money?
PokerStars has committed to the full reinbursements of all outstanding $184 million balances owed to ROW (rest of world) players. These players, from outside of the U.S.A., will be repaid within three months of PokerStars formally closing of the deal, which is to set to happen within 7 days.

The U.S. government and DOJ (Department of Justice) itself will be dealing with the repayment of American Full Tilt players. The total $547 million settlement money paid to the US Government will in part be used to reimburse former U.S. players through a remission process to be administered by the Department of Justice.

Going forward, the new Full Tilt Poker will maintain a segregated account for player funds. PokerStars is also planning on setting up an in-client service for money transfers between Full Tilt and PokerStars.

Will There Be Poker?
Yes. PokerStars plans to reopen Full Tilt Poker in most markets within 90 days of closing the deal. However, they are not going to apply for licenses in France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Belgium or Estonia.

But it's tough luck for Americans, since according to the DOJ agreement there will be no real money poker in the U.S. until such time as there is regulation and licensing permitting this.

How About My Full Tilt Points (FTPs) and Rakeback?
PokerStars are reviewing all previous Full Tilt reward programs and will provide more details later as to a fair resolution for players with accumulated FTPs, Iron Man Medals and other rewards. Rakeback.com spoke with a Full Tilt employee earlier and have been informed that their affiliate team have all the data required to get back up and running as before within a month of the deal's conclusion. Stay tuned for more details regarding your Full Tilt rakeback.

It's said you players have already been able to contact support at full tilt with your questions, and a new support team is in place ready to assist you.

Lol wiggy, I read this from a tweet and thought Whatever

I never played at full tilt and closed my account with pokerstars as simply did not enjoy playing there, even when they had US players

Honestly I think full tilt's reputation is damaged beyond repair and it is a brave decission by pokerstars to try and relaunch the brand.

It is good that any european players who had money with full tilt are going to be getting there money back though

Why would it be edited as it is now OK to post other sites names on here Smile

To be honest I did get emails about this happening but it never entered my head to post it on here as I thought everybody would already have read it as its all over the WWW.

Nice to see all those who had lost money should now get some or all of it back.

Luckily I emptied my FT account of its few $$ before it all happened.

Post, then make another post and then post even more.

Didnt know you could name other sites as all my posts in past got edited naming rivals.
This is good news to a lot of players me included as i had part of my B/R in there never withdrew the lot in time as didnt realy think it would happen, is also good if we get our FPP as well as i had built up a very nice amount.
I think the 1 bad bit of news is that 888 will lose some that came over, a lot of the reg players will always play where they get a good reward system and i dont think ours is the greatest.

we have asked 888 to treat us as adults, now they have. it is ok to name other sites in the context of a story, not to advertise for them.

cheers,

I thought the day would never come. I have a nice roll waiting for me, bigger than i ever had here. I was crushing $5  and even better in $10  STTs there but can hardly cash in a $1 here now. Tougher  players here? hmm I guess it's possible.
I ran at 60 bb/100 in micros when I first came here and had a nice ITM for small and mid buy in MTTs

Maybe I have been on permatilt since I rebought into a $100 rebuy tourney without pushing the rebuy button when my roll was $220? due to a withdraw days earlier. I never planned on rebuying, If I do rebuy? I do it after the first hand.. I was spewing and cursing and felt neglected by 888 when I tried to get it sorted I know I'm not over it, it hangs around in my mind. I never spewed publicly about it on any websites (bar here) or even my own poker related websites.

Now the big decision, bring the roll here or build it at FTP.

Thoughts????? Anyone.
