Not sure what you mean by pattern. But dont like the cold call on button with AQ. When its checked to you on flop you dont need to bet out that much to find where you are. When its called it looks so like an over pair or flopped set. When River comes he comes out betting, theres no way hes bluffing in this spot, he knows you either have set or AQ. Thats why he bets out as he knows you could quite easily check behind and he gains no more. Alarm bells should have gone off when he flats your flop bet. Unfortunately you were going to lose at least 1k-1.5k of your stack if played out raising pre, which leads you to just 10bbs, which is still playable.

just posted some more threads slim. i'm seeing flopped top pair top kicker beaten by flopped set way way to often, and not just this week. point taken about my flop bet, but how much to find out where i am that doesn't look weak? i tend to hit the 3/4 pot button on the betting bar more as habbit i suppose. it works well in donkfest sit and goes where the fish chase gut shots. the cold call with AQ i made just to see the flop i'm trying to figure out why i don't seem to win as much as i used to and one of my biggest holes ( i think) is all in pre flops i just don't win, so popping in a raise with aq just opens up the betting again, i'm pretty sure i'm not calling to an all in at this point of the game and being seen to fold to a reraise pre flop is letting players shove to my steels later in the game.

You were playing very shallow. I would have probably just put it all in pre flop tbh.. pick up some blinds and even somtimes get called by worse. Would have been unlucky to meet QQ.
