A jumble of letters and numbers with no obvious meaning and used as the title of a thread, but is it?

What it actually is is a table note of the hand we were discussing in nitevenoms hand of the day thread! and reads

99 pre flop- minimum raise! Called a re-raise, shoved to minimum bet on an all low flop

 We all know notes are important! But do you really have time to type all of that while playing a game? We can’t actually make that note at the table as the hand was folded and we don’t know the outcome, but we can make that note now we have read the result and the revealed cards in the thread, any opportunity for information is a good opportunity so take it

It helps to be able to make abbreviated notes at the table; you can always go back and type it in full later if you have to, so open a word document and type out words like pre flop, raise, check, call, shove anything that’s relevant to the game really, then give them abbreviations like pre flop =pf, raise = r, check = ch, call = cl, shove = s

By having a saved list of abbreviations you will soon find it second nature to recognise them whenever you see them, you can use them for table notes to make the process quicker, and you can go back and fill the note in properly after the game if needed, after a while you won’t even need to do this as you will know at a glance exactly what you were noting
