A rusty old bucket down by the barn sings...I'm going to shine one day.

Hi , was just looking back over the last 30 days to see how many games of poker I was involved in , and it surprised me . I was wondering what the average game play per month is for most players . I probably fall short of most of you since I only play one table at a time .
my total amount of games in this last 30 day period = 116
54 MTT only 4 of which are freerolls 20 sng's 41 F/L 2/4 hold'em cash tables 1 stud 2/4 cash game
is this good , too much ?

The question really is do you feel it's too much, too little or just right.
I haven't been playing much online this year so don't even think I have hit the amount of sessions you played in a month so far this year (but I could be wrong can't be bothered checking PT4).
It really is a question of your preference do you think the amount of games you play helps your poker, or will less improve your win rate or even more games improve your game.
Only you can answer these questions.

On this site my average is probably something like 20-25 mtt's, 20ish sng's, 6-8 4 table cash sessions and 10,000 blackjack hands
I'm too old to die young
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

LOL I hated my last post so much i decided to look at the last 30 days. I didn't play here every day but close to it. No limit hold'em 235 Tournaments ITM omg lol 21% ROI more lols 28% Average finish 43 1st =10 2nd =10 3rd =8 Cashes =51 \----------------- 31 of those were NLH SnGs ITM 51% Cashes 16 Average finish 4.5 1st = 7 2nd =6 3rd =3 -------------- I also played some Omaha, I played a PLO 6max and a PLO8 6max to see if i had a preference for one over the other. I chose to have a go at PLO8 No tracker so I could be ? 5-10% off here with these stats on the 6max Sngs not the wins but how many I played, the PLO8 MTTs are accurate. Played 8 or 9? 6max SnGs sorry Ive been very tired. 1st =3 2nd =2 2 suckouts lol 1 I played like a fool. PLO8 MTTs 200+ players 1 final table 4th 2 early exits, good hand met better hand. Now here is the (my) problem,, how close to acceptable are these stats? I'm not happy with them. Would you be happy if they were your stats? If yours are better? any tips for me? or just say gday so i can sweat you some time if i see you at the tables? Like I did 35Bullets some time ago, that helped me huge. If yours are much worse than mine feel free to ask any qusetions you may have, I will try to help if I think I can but as you can see I'm pretty average.. Cheers all.

Looking at it from where I sit , that is a pretty impressive ROI considering that if you looked at my total over the entire time of playing on 888 =
1 1st place finish 1 2nd place finish
play money don't count or my wins would even astound a well rounded player such as yourself.

Nitevenom, I think if you can crush play money? you have enough skills to compete at the micros. I also think you should play the smallest buyins available, to get that winning feeling, you know where you say to yourself I can do this, just like you must have done many times in the free games.
I have played a few Big buy in tourneys, up to $200, but they were infrequent stabs and my roll didn't notice the loss. I've been comfortable at times? around the $20 $30 MTTs and my ITM & ROI at those games was insane High.
I went on megatilt for several months after I lost most of my new roll here with a $100 rebuy hiccup mistake?? it didn't help that it was just after FTP took 18 months of my poker earnings when they closed shop and as yet to this day I have not fully recovered but I'm trying hard.
Last week my account was at 80 cents, no misprint there it was 80 cents and I said to myself ,, look you idiot you say you can play? BS you can't, are you serious you think you can play? prove it, no deposit just use that 80 cents if you can't build a roll from that? give the game away you are obviously kidding and fooling yourself about your supposed abilities.
Wow can you imagine the pressure? really? can you? what do ya do with 80 cents to build a roll? I didn't want to give up playing poker but i was 80 cents away from quiting ( I love it, it's been good to me since day 1) but there was no way I was going to deposit any money. If that 80 cents disappeared so would i have been gone forever. I believed that. I played a few 2 cent yep 2 cent 60 man Sngs until I had enough? $1.15? to have a stab at 10 cent games, l won and lost a few, so i dropped back down and grinded it back up for another stab at 10 cent OMG 10 cents lol, I cried, I really did so sad lol, eventually i won a few and then played some 50 cent ones then on to $1 40 man SnGs and a few $1Dons and then I had something to play with. That's when I had a try at PLO8 6 max SnGs,, kicked some butt there and had enough to try MTTs again, I cashed in 2 MTTs before my roll bit the dust, a PLO8 and a NLH one . Now I'm back on track? I hope, I have $60? in there.
I'm too tired from a hard day at work and no sleep, to risk my roll playing tonight but tomorrow I will get back into it with renewed gusto.
Nitevenom Don't be scared to play as small as it gets because if you win? you can move up and back down if need be. The important part is winning, not what your currnet level is so beat a few 2, 10 and 50 cent games if you need too to get that winning feeling (not money) because you need that confidence to beat even 2 cents games. You must know you can do it, and the only way to do that is by winning then trying it at a higher stake.
Best of luck with your game.
