Hallo Udo,

November, in Kraft.

Hi Udo.

Obviously I do not know why you had this emeil but 888 are not alone in doing this.

I had an email today saying

Betfair withdraws exchange from Germany citing tax rate

Betfair says it has decided to withdraw its betting exchange product from the German market because of the 5 per cent tax on sports betting stakes introduced earlier this year.

It is fruitless to become lachrymose over precipitately departed lacteal fluid.

Feel your right about only 24 hours notice lol, when they proberly new this was happing for a while now. but, then again by leaving it to the last 24 hours makes buisness sense.

only a matter of time before the UK follow suit.

Hi Zocks,

888sport cease operations in Germany as a result of regulation there. These regulations do not affect our ability to offer 888poker and 888casino in Germany, so we continue to do so.

I am sure that you will notice that many of our competitors have also done the same thing in Germany.

Believe me, the last thing any business, including ours, wants to do is lose members as a result of regulation, but unfortunately, sometimes it is compulsory.

Again, I can affirm that our casino and poker operations are not affected by this regulation in Germany.

Thanks,
Sean
