So what if anything will this mean to players on both sites?

Will bwin adopt 888 software?

Will 888 adopt bwin software?

Cheers

The report I read said they are expecting huge money savings by merging the platforms, but did not say which way.

What I read suggested 888 wanted Bwin to boost its sports betting side of the business. So I guess 888 sports will move to Bwin and Bwin.party will move to 888 poker.

Either way I think it is great news for us, and 888
I am still here, even if a little quiet

Come on 888 make us easy to find!

Bring back the leagues

Very interesting news.

Will 888 be adopting bwins player segregation to even the fields now or stick to the different method currently used to keep the games winnable for losers? oh I meant new players, not losers.Laughing sorryLaughing

Wow this might be fantastic news..
They outbid Amaya (pokerstars) and bought it for $1.4billion daaaaamn Money Mouth
If we could get more information about what this will mean for us 888 pokerplayers that would be very much appreciated..

Will partypoker merge with 888 into 1 pokerclient? (and almost double the playerpool)
And will 888 be hosted on the bwin.party poker software? (and run a lot smoother)
Or will it be like the Ipoker network and bwin.party will keep their own site/skin/software but will (only) be a part of the 888 network? (and 888 would stay as it is right now)

Congrats on the purchase eitherway, should be good for everyone!

Reraise,
I thought the deal was $890,000,000 but hey what's a few  hundred million dollars between m8s?

I live on another planet, $100 is a big deal, lol.

GL with it 888.

We are currently analyzing and considering all options. We are happy to hear players opinions on these questions (Software, Liquidity).

"yo lowstake pokerplayers, we need your help, we just bought this giant poker site for 1.4b, but what should we do with it now?"
Lol sorry Dub, that's how it came across. Sealed

I'd say get that partypoker software running on 888poker like yesterday, but not sure if that's something that's easily done.
Adding the bwin.party on the 888 network has it's pro's & con's; a bigger playerpool, higher gtd's & all this will attract even more players from 'the outside' aswell.
But i know a couple of players that play on both bwin.party & 888poker... and they're gonna lose half their schedule..

I don't know, i think keeping the 2 sites separate is fine too, 888's playerpool size is fine by me, and with the possible better software running it'll spice up quite a bit too i'm sure, so adding a whole giant network might not even be necessary.
Could just keep 888 as it is where "we play different" and turn bwin.partypoker into a different site where you go more into the needs of the regular player.
