I was not aware that you could accidentally or otherwise withdraw your money to an account other than that used to make the initial deposit.
Was also not aware that you could profit from exchanging currencies via 888. Although I guess if it is not for large amounts, then it can not be seen as Money Laundering.
Will check this out.
Some useful info.
When you go to the withdraw option you have a choice of where to withdraw to if you have used more than 1 deposit option in the past. The first option that comes up for me is Neteller and I have to choose my bank from the menu. I forgot to do this last time which is why it went to neteller.
As for profiting I guess if you choose the best days to deposit and withdraw then you can make a few pence here and there if your lucky.
Its so confusing.
888 withdrawal policy If you used a credit card, debit card and Neteller to deposit in to your account, the withdrawals are refunded in the following order:
- Credit card
- Solo/Switch/Maestro card
- Neteller account
Since we automatically pay the funds back to your active credit/debit cards,

I have just had my account changed to $$$$. I have just deposted $30 as a test and there are no fees, no exchange rates just $30 taken from my bank which they (my bank) will convert into £££. My account was changed in a couple of hours by a very efficient guy in support. He also dealt with a 2nd email I sent regarding something else at the same time... This is all I can do to help you all so please follow my lead and do as I have done to avoid the rates. Cheers.

Just sent an email to support asking if they will change my deposit currency so I hope your right Cryptic and this means I get less screwed when I deposit or withdraw.

I am awaiting a reply from my Bank, to clarify their side.
Regardless, If what Cryptic says is true
$30 in - 888 - $30 dollars out. Avoiding 888 exchange rate/commission altogether.
Then result for all of us and I will be the first to say a Big Thank you to Cryptic, for sticking in there.
Even a stubborn old dumb ass like me can see that this makes cents.

Can someone please explain this to me.
It is from the 888.com withdrawal policy.
888 Poker does not charge any fees for cashing out your money. There may be small, reasonable processing charges, though, if 888poker ceases its offerings in a specific country.
What a difference a day makes.
The page where I took the above info, went offline temporarily yesterday and was changed to:
- There are no fees for any of our withdrawal services. In the event that we terminate the offering of our business in any specific country, payouts will be subject to reasonable processing charges

Still getting robbed by 888's dodgy exchange rates for Auzzies
|
When I withdraw $150 from 888 the whole $150 goes into my bank account, my bank then excnages that into £££ at their rate not 888's.
| CASSAVA , ENTERPRISES , GIBRALTAR GI , REFUND , USD 150.00, RATE 1.5916, CHARGE 1.25, ERTF 2.59 |
98.08 |
I accidently withdrew to my neteller last time and was horified at the neteller exchange rates. They are much worse than my banks.
| Cassava Enterprises Ltd |
30.16 |
Accepted |
14-05-2012 |
as you can see for $50 I got only £30.16 in neteller but nearly £33 for each $50 in my bank.
If your account is in USD you are not using 888's rates you are using netellers.
I'm not sure about this cryptic, as all my withdrawals coming out of other sites that are going in to my Neteller acount are pretty close to what i expect them to be working off current exchange rates, not missing anywhere near 4-5% on what i'm expecting. I am however going to make the same withdrawal amount in USD from 888 and 3 other sites within minutes of each other, note the forex exchange rate at the time i do this and make the comparisons when they come in to see if there is any differences or if it is the Neteller exchange rates being used as you say. I will have the 3 other sites withdrawals hit my Neteller acount within a couple of hours but won't have 888's for the standard 3-5 days before i can see if this is right or not.
