Thanks to all for your feedback and suggestions regarding the Team Game, which I will be passing on to Sean to consider when he returns to the office in the New Year.

It is possible that there will be a few changes to the Community Tournament schedule in the coming weeks, and it is unlikely any alterations to game formats will be made until this time. Meanwhile do keep posting your ideas and opinions.

This week's team game was one more reason to change the rules or the payout structure of this tournament. Again did a "fellow blue team member" from Eastern Europe take out more of his own team than probably any other player. Sigh...

A team only prize for the winners and maybe the buy-ins for the runner-ups would be an interesting change to the payout structure, to avoid that some players who don't understand the team concept ruin the game.

That some other forum member, not from Russia, commented "n1" when I got a pretty bad suck out, I guess because it seemed to help his team, did it for me that night. But maybe I shouldn't be too surprised of this sort of behaviour (which I personally find pretty inappropriate). You see it at many tables, so why not also in my.888 tournaments?

Probably I just need to manage my own expectations better, lol. I'll try that, so that I am able to play next week's tournament. Right now I am seriously lacking the motivation.

i have posted about this a few times, so not worth going over it again. But i find the core of team players are nice people, you do get banter from other teams when someone goes out and it helps there chances but i can except that, i find it funny and thats part of the team banter in the game. But i understand your frustration as i would guess many do when you get people who ruin it for the team. Hope you play next week, would be a shame to lose players from the game.

Well I tried again, and wanted to stick to my beloved blue team (thx anyways for the invitation to joind the reds).

But this tournament was strike 3, again by a Russian, and now I am out. I will stay away from the team tournament until the rules change, or some other measures are taken. Too bad, I do like the format, but not in it's current form.

I haven't played the team game since it moved to a Tuesday but reading this I understand the issues and see nothing has changed much.

My thoughts are that it will never be a proper team game if individuals are allowed to play for individual prizes.

If a true team format where teams are selected prior to games and selection agreement is unanimous within the team is not possible, then I think consideration should be given to team prizes only.

Points awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc basis and highest points team wins.  It may seem harsh for say someone who would have cashed on an individual basis but if their team does not win they miss out.  However, you cannot deny this would be a true team format and would get rid of those who see a cash prize for themselves only.

Well I managed to play tonight for the first time in ages, and from where i was sat it was bad cards not bad team play that sunk the yellows.

I did see alot of blue on blue though which is not nice, some people just don't understand the format, others all seam to be from the same country/region........hmmmmmm

The Greens played a team game, was played well by every member.
Reds were killing reds 1 blue was just trying to kill every1 even his own team mates, i enjoy these games and look forward to playing them but it is annoying when you get 1 that only is thinking of himself.
Good game GREENS.

Diffrent team each week seems to have problems with team play it seems. Well done tonight  greens you played well all night. Yellows had one new player, who went quick but of rest of  played well. I do think its a country/region problem but not a language one. Again well done greens.
