First off , after some thought  , wiggy is right and it would be too much to ask someone to chair a session . Second , I did not mean open card because that defeats the purpouse of learning right at the start. My thought was more like 9 players playing a full table each then would have a history and we can all post and discuss plays that were good , bad or that could have been played different... but let us see what wiggy will post in chip chat . I had not meant to create more work for anyone ... and am eager to see what comes of the interest factor.

The Begginers Ball games are/were intended to lead to something similar.

My plans include private 1 table freerolls where hands would be posted and talked about. The number of those games would depend on the interest shown by members.

I have more time during the winter months and I had planned to try to get more involved with those games then.

Lets see what wiggy posts and take it from there.

Post, then make another post and then post even more.

Just a thought..............

I have been following this thread ever since Les opened it ..... I truly think it would be great to offer such a process...... but i also thought it would never work .... my mrs would kill me if i spent 2 hours on skype explaining why i played a hand in a certain way. I also thought i would be willing to put some thing back to help new players improve their learning curve .... i was thinking i could help with omaha or better still omaha hl ..... but then i thought who the hell am i to offer advice ..... it puts the presumtion that i am better in order to teach ....and thats never true..... we are all on a learning curve.... i may have played millions of hands but that does not make me a better player..... but im sure i could help a guy who has never played omaha etc..... plus we all have different styles and whos to say mine is right and yours is wrong. I have seen many loose aggresive players play hands that i would never open with but they play well as they have a skill to know were they are post flop and down the river and can turn that into a winning styile. I tend to play tighter as a rule and thats just my way i feel works for me. Im sure i often fold the winning hand just cause i dont like the board or the way a player is betting against me. Well thats poker but i have read wiggys posts with intrest as i know hes always willing to offer help and advice 95% of which i think is spot on.

Then comes Chris (Cryptic) .... he started the biginers game in an attempt to to help newer players to learn the game ....encourage people to post interesting hands so that newer players can learn faster and i think that has worked well. Next came Nitevenomes hand of the day ....one more great addition to to open up descusions and canvas views ... both are great additions. Then Nitevenom opens this thread .... what Les proposed would be great but just not pratical ..... sure if we could all meet up in a pub and play a sit an go and have a descusion after ever hand played yes maybe.... but we are all over the world and it would just not work. In the end it comes down to us posting individual hands and even that does not realy work because we have to post the preflop betting then post flop betting then 4th street and the river ...and that can take over an hour to do all those screan shots ..... and even when we see all screan shots and betting patterns on all the streets ......we can all give an opinion ....but that still does not take into account the last 10 hands history that may show a player is on tilt or just running good or had just had a bad beat from the opponent and wants to take him on.

Ok thats why it will not work ...... but then i got to thinking how could we make it work ...... Just a thought ..... i wonder if 888 could set up a my 888 sit an go table of lets say 50c +5c or $1 + 10c ..... an make it NLH 9 seater to start with .... later we could try omaha or omaha hi lo ....... 888 security must have the option to replay a specific game to check for collusion chip dumping etc were they can see all players starting hands. Could they not just release the file the following day so we could all watch every starting every hand of each player ..... even better if we could replay it in out hand history ..... then all 9 players could see how the game played out. Players could learn so much even if they dont want to ask questions ..... or a player could just ask and other player why he played hand 16 the way he did ..... then all 9 players could look up hand 16 in the file/hand history and know what happend with out the questioner haveing to post all the screan shots

Well i know that may not be instantly fixable but im sure the software guys could do it quickly .... im sure it would offer more value than the smile faces and poker coach software.... well as i say its just a thought

Posting text hand histories looks daunting but it really isn't, you just higlight and copy the file then paste it to a word document, it comes out as perfect text histories and not the jumble of text you see in the file, posting text histories shows all of the betting from each player in the hand and you can post as much as you want then cut off at the point you ask the question, by having the text saved in a word document you just go back to it when you want to post the next part of the information, and it's 100 times quicker than taking screenshots, saving them to you pc then uploading them to my.888 before you can post them

Anyway the ideas up in chip chat, but it needs a lot of work to turn it into a viable proposal so I'll let you guys decide

i know this may sound as though im takeing the micky .... but could you talk me through how to do it ...... when i click on hand history i see no option to do a printed hand history or do you have to do it through tracker..... i agree with you a single screan shot means nothing you need to see the betting on all streets

I know your not taking the micky m8

Your text hand histories have to be acessed through your hand history file not the history player

The easiest way to find them is from the lobby select settings then game settings, that will show the folder your hand histories save to and you just click to open it
if your using tracking software it's probably empty and you need to open the tracker files, they are usually in processed files, just highlight and copy them then paste them in a word document

it is to bad that the play with friends tab is only available for money games . I believe that it would be a big draw on play money tables as well , this way people with low BR's can benifit from study groups . Many would argue that because it is play money people would not care and play johnny bingo style ..which would probably be true Unless they had a reason to play smart IE: a leaderboard could be incorporated into the more options tab of play with friends and a monthly/yearly prize awarded top ranks on the board . As well as rewards for posting hand discussions and being actively involved . Just a thought , let me know what you think .
