Only just started playing this site again and its good to see the problems still arise...

I was just in hand and turned the nut stright I bet but somehow I get disconnected with the site not the internet, I am using it whilst playing poker,   but when it connect I have lost pot.....

Just cost me a huge pot, Oh well lets just hope I can cash because they mystery disconnection cost me heaps of chips. In fact I would have been in top ten but now struggling.

Thanks for nothing 888.

I actually get this happen to me regularly. I play all the hands, no sitting out. Then a big hand comes up in the second session. Always a big hand.

I hit the raise or all in and my timer goes down to 0. Not without a fight though, as my hands frantically click my mouse over each and every button on the screen, in the hopes, well as nothing ever happens, I am not sure what I hope will happen this time.

I get sat out.

Back up in the very next hand, as though nothing happened.

Only once every 3 0r 4 games. But at least I get to play on.

My fault, though. I am sure it would not be happening to me if I was on the download version. If it happened only once, or twice and I had to reload the client, then I too would put it down to a dropped connection. Maybe it is?

Considered reporting it, but how do you explain or supply proof. Not something I want to put myself through.

So I just live with it. Like a goldfish, reacting in the same way each time it happens. Frown

I was going to say, its good to hear it does not only happen to me. But as that would be totally inapropriate and not what I would hope to convey, I will just say that I understand your frustrations and hope it does not happen again.

May I ask, if your playing via the download or instant version of 888?

Good luck to you

Its bad that it happens, and yes I spit the dummy but how do you prove its their site when I can be on any other site in the world with no issues. I even sent a trace when I had this issue about 12 months ago but never got a response, so I assumed it was 888.

I use the downloaded version to my laptop, I not sure of the instant version that you are talking about.

I do eventually get over it (like us all) but it amazes me its only when i have a big hand....

But I was watching a friend last night and he posted BB three times, just another issue I thought that would have been fixed.   Can sort of live with 2 (not really) but definately not 3.

I remember these issues from like 12 months ago.........

Oh well maybe it is finally to leave 888 for good and try the other sites.

(Hand# 348160335) 42340015 Table 54

10 10 - hit all-in - timed out - sat out - next hand back up

cost me about 15,000 chips this time

Could have hone either way, but I was just a passenger for this one hand

This has been happening with me too, alot recently. I thought it was just me, as i often ask the table "R u guys getting disconnected? or is it just me?" the reply is always the same "nah not me, not me m8, just you bud LOLOL gl lol etc"
Due to these mini/short and site isolated disconnections I've been worried about trojans etc so have spent heaps of time trying to eliminate my end as the possible problem. I'm still trying to work it out but can't explain it yet. Getting disconnected after raising with AA, AK, KK etc or any hand really? can tilt me bad especially  if it happens several times in the same session.

I try to lol it off and blame my lame computer as it's an old beast of a thing so it's probably the problem and works hard to run all my software when playing poker.

Unrelated but yesterday I stepped away from the game in a $10,000 tourney to make a coffee, as I returned I saw folded AA LOL that hurt and it was all my fault LOL. Went on for a small cash.

As it has hit all three of us when we had big hands, it should be fair to say that dsiconnections can be ruled out.

Especially as when I watch the time run down to 0, my mouse pointer is able to move from chat to stats to info. I can click on players and get the options box come down.

Like you i thought it was just me and only freerolls. I would be raising it with all my force if it happened to me during a buy-in, especially as frequently as it is happening to me.

I have given an example below and winthePOT said they raised it with support, with no response.

As always it will hopefully be picked up by someone here on the forum and escalated.

It is always just one big hand, with all hands before and after unaffected and in my case all hands were played.

Your right it does put you on tilt, no matter how much you try not to let it.

I got a feeling that his post, like the issue itself, will not go away unless addressed.

I wonder how many other people this effects, who like the three of us just decided to ignore it.

The only other option, to inform Support has already been tried, with no result.

I would say that it does not always hinder progress, sometimes it saves you from blowing all your chips.

But poker is poker because you have to make a choice, take control and live with the consequences.

The biggest frustration for me is that it happens late in the tourney, when I play tight. It is not easy to see your one big hand in position, come and go. Leaving you tilting and then spending the rest of the tourney watching your chip stack diminsh.

Despite the odd save, I still do not see any benefit. Maybe its a glitch, maybe not. But it is something that can be looked into and fixed. Of this I am sure.

To summarise

it is not specific to the download version or the instant play.
it does not appear to be freerolls alone.
It is not an isolated issue, personally I experience it regularly.
it is always big hands
the time runs down to 0
you are sat out
you can sit back in at anytime, after being sat out
all hands before and after are fine
an example and trace have been given

Surely, enough there to warrant escalation or at the very least an acknowledgement of some sort.....

But, hey lifes full of things that should happen, but don't....... We live in hope Surprised

Sorry guys but as you have said that you have already alerted 888 Support of your problems there is nothing can be done here on the forum and all I can advise is to maybe phone them if you haven't done so already or fire off another email to see if you get a better response. I know it;s frustrating guys and hope it gets sorted out for you all soon.

Thanks for the response.

Fair point, as I have had it happen so many times I decided to just put up with it.

As I am now aware that it happens not only to me, I will e-mail support with the hand id and post the reply in this post.

I should at least give them a chance. Who's knows I might be pleasantly surprised.

Shame this thread is called -Disconnections.

Maybe if it was given a more appropriate name more players would come forward. But I could not even begin to sum it up in a thread title by giving it a defintive name. Which kind of sets me up for a typical response from support.

This is from someone who last week had their complaint upheld by the f.o.s. after a 5 year battle with my car insurance company. Yet the thought of bringing this up with Support scares the (you know what) out of me!

I've had a good clean 15 hour session today with no disconnections, doubled my roll. But as of this minute I'm deep in a $2500 gtd and the disconnetctions are every second hand ,, probably my internet.
