Hi m8s If any of you play Double or nothing games I would like to know whether you feel its necessary to have a 30s timebank.

These games are super turbo and in my opinion players just abuse the timebank in order to blind out opponents and I have responded by doing the same but to me it doesnt make much sense why someone needs that time to make a decision in a shorthanded game like this.

Would really like to know what you all think?

This happens not just on the double or nothing tables. It happens on blast and the free rolls as well.  I have even played on buy in tournaments of more than 50 dollars, and as we got towards cashing, some of the players were letting the time bank run down, hoping that others would be blinded out and they would cash.

For us older players we need the time bank, when you are multi tabling you will more than likely be involved in a big hand on one of the tables so it does sometimes affect other tables, i dont think most players intentionaly play slow. I have dropped down my tables i play on now as i cant play more than 10 where i know players can quite easily play up to 20.
Also you will find on all the other sites players timing out as i play on most of them and see it daily, it actually can help you out when your involved on other tables. I can see it being frustrating if your only playing a few tables, but i would advice you to just open up a few more tables and then you hardly notice it going on.
Good luck on the tables where ever you play.

Same here I can only play 6 on 888. However I suspect Slim is also playing on other sites at the same time when he has 10 tables on the go. Yes the time bank is useful when you are multi tabling, but this happened last night on the level 80 free roll.

We were 12 places from cashing, I had two German players on my table. The first was asking everyone to let the time bank run down to help the second German cash, as he was really short stacked, and would probably not make the cash.   So most of the table let the time bank run, and player 1 was counting down to cashing. Player two managed to cash. Due to letting the time bank run down he managed to make 6 dollars, Had the time bank not been used he would not have had enough chips left to make his blinds. Several others then became short stacked, and did exactly the same.   The benefit to me, as they were trying to cash more, pushed me up the tournament and I eventually went out with 12 dollars!

Happy days.......

I understand why players do it in the mtts in order to cash and it does not directly affect any1 else but when its done on these DON games its just unsporting.

I take your point slim about multi tabling and glad to say I have worked out a strategy that can at least limit their effect.  The next smallest stack wasted time to try to blind me out so if I survive the auto allin I shove on thier bb with any2 as I have nothing to lose and if I win their crippled.  This is the only option I can see available.  Any1 else have ideas?
