They should be getting on top of all the emails now m8, give them a gentle nudge if you don't hear soon.

Will all my888poker members please ensure they have their 888poker player name in their profile.

Wow what a fantastic compensation for all the downtime and money lost..
So they gave me (and all of you) a freeroll ticket to a qualifier for the big PKO tournament, I guess that's one way to try to get 20.000 entrants to it. (That's a KO right there)

But for me, as I already qualified for it I'm not even allowed to play it.. so it's absolutely worthless to me, but can't please everyone I guess.

(this post was about 5x longer, but who reads this anyway right?)

Quite a few read the posts, it's just in my experience and many of the older forum members, people have just stopped commenting.  There were plenty of disconnection threads, and unable to play, including getting frozen out part way through tournaments.  All been going on for at least the past 8 years that I know of.  you usually get a free roll ticket to compensate!  Of course that doesn't make up for the lost money, or for the fact you may have been in the last say 100 runners in a tournament.  You may want to look at all the disgruntled posts regarding this type of thing.  It usually seems to be when they update their systems, which means the engineers haven't quite got it right, whilst updating!  Good luck with your game perhaps you will cash and make up for the issues you have had

Thanks Rhonda, Makes a lot of sense.
My initial long post wasn't about the DDOS attack though, more about 888 in general and how I've always supported them in my heart.
Over the years I told them many times that the 2nd biggest pokersite spot was theirs for the taking, but I came to the realisation that it's just not going to happen anymore, not with the constant lack of competence and their inability to improve on that.

I wrote a blog about Honesty a long time ago, where I talk about being critical of your own abilities if you want to be able to compete on a certain level. Making mistakes is fine, it's actually great, it allows us to improve and do better next time. But if we ignore our mistakes and don't improve on it, it will come back to hunt you, others will pass you by, and you will go down a road that's going the wrong way. This also works for running a (poker) business, and this is the path I think 888 is going, and this is why I have lowered my expectancy. So when the shit gets even worse, you won't see me on here complaining about it anymore. Hope you all understand why.
But let's make the best of it while we still can Smile

Agree with your comments totally. In my experience, and if you read my latest comment on my journal, the customer service is not great. Its taken me over8 weeks since I made a request to reactivate my account. that has been followed up by almost daily emails, and phone calls constantly chasing them, to do what they were supposed to do. The problem also is like many big businesses nowadays its all about the profit. We can argue all we like about people wont put up with it and will go elsewhere, however I had read posts from people who have said they would never play here again, and then much later post about their game play or a gripe they have again on here. People tend to be creatures of Habit, and what 888 has going for it is the ease of being able to navigate the site. I was a massive player on corals, and actually made over 2000 coming second in a tournament. However they changed their site. Big mistake its awful, so that's how I ended up on 888. I like the community members, and have met some of them at the live 888 birthday bash, which has now not happened in the last two years. i don't play anywhere else, I did try poker stars once, but just didn't like the site. Good luck with your game play, and some of course do learn from their mistakes.. I shall be careful what I write next time, last time it earned me an almost 9 month suspension!!!
