I found this news interesting (disclosed on FINAL SCORE today)

Is this a GOOD THING? (for the most part i think so) OR is it a BAD THING? (has he left himself no other possible options barring injuries of course)

The fact he's got his 23 i think is a GOOD THING.

There are some players i would be very surprised to see in there if this is the case.

JOE HART? surely not?
ROSS BARKLEY? highly unlikely?
DANIEL STRURRIDE? nope, can't see it?

There is a whole list of DID HE MAKE IT? & SHOULD HE have done so?

I think he got a lot of ideas from those 2 friendlies against 2 of the biggest footballing nations in the World...BRAZIL & GERMANY and they were not playing them as friendlies, they wanted to win at Wembley but surprisingly ENGLAND outplayed them & should on another day have WON BOTH of these matches WITH 'B' Sides.

Made things interesting for SOUTHGATE...a few of the younger lads got injured after this & some have had little playing time so will he take some of these youngsters he knows so well?

I'd be disappointed if a few didn't make it?

But it's the so called BIGGER NAMED players that might be wondering are they on the list of 23?

I think i'd take both WILSHIRE & FODEN (the latter is a bit of a risky choice being so young but he's the kind that could make a name for himself at such a tournament) i'll bet you they are NOT on the list.

Will ALLI make it? of course he will but i hope he IMPROVES & gets back to his form of last year (and cuts out the diving) HE along with IN-FORM STERLING is who we will be depending on to have a BLITZING tournament? if not it ends here.

STRIKERS?
KANE & VARDY of course but who else? RASHFORD? you'd think so! so that's 3, DEFOE won't make it, LINGARD as an attacking/midfielder might? again playing time at United might mean he don't make it?

MIDFIELD?
Sterling & Alli are a given i think, Wilshire i LOVE as a player (such a shame he's had all these injuries over the year but he seems to be back to fitness (he's like our Inestia/Xavi but just never got to prove it!!! & Foden is similar but MORE ATTACKING) with LALANA (who some don't like & to be fair he's been out of the picture for awhile so knife edge for him) there's 5 good midfield players right there (on their day)
I wish we had more QUAILTY midfield players IN DEPTH but those we have are capable i think?

DEFENCE?
Will probably be as you'd expect with very few surprises?
WALKER, STONES, MAGUIRE, the SPURS guys, perhaps one of the BURNLEY lads might make it? GOMEZ from Liverpool? some might wonder if CAHILL will make it?

GOALKEEPER?
That's the interesting one for many.
I like SOUTHGATE but i'm SHOCKED he stuck with him, JOE (Hart) that is, City fans LOVE what he did for our club but we all know he's not good at coming for the ball & he does make tactical errors & is NOT a good kicker of the ball when passed back to him, he is sadly a mistake waiting to happen...GUARDY pin-pointed this straight away but Southgate didn't.
If JOE goes i wouldn't be surprised but not for me & many he surely can't be ENGLAND No1?
If he goes because of the experience thing? is that right when he's not playing week in week out at the expense of others? OR perhaps he goes because he was a GOOD Penalty stopper (which was never my impression) then maybe someone to bring on just before ET ends? should this happen?

It's a SHAME Tom Heaton was injured at BURNLEY for he is an ENGLAND Goalkeeper in the making & if i were LIVERPOOL i'd be after him already.

So who will be our GK?

And how many real surprises will be in here (as it stands?)

I'm genuinely excited, we quailfied easily, those friendlies were encouraging, WE ACTUALLY PLAYED GOOD ATTACKING FOOTBALL against BIG NATIONAL SIDES...we need to start beating these BIG NATIONS at these tournaments or we'll never get anywhere but i think we can & will.

Got my fingers crossed Gareth's got the right mix of 23?

Think its still a bit early to early for a concrete 23 as still to many games to play and so many scenarios that could happen! The players are there just need to put it all together and it could well be the best since 1966.....

WHY ARE 888 unable to sort out their server issuses.
or are there other gremlins at work?

Hey Shiny it's good to read another posting from another footie fan.

I guess if he's already got his squad of 23 wrapped up then he's happy in his own mind.

Like you i found it interesting in that it was soon before the end of the season (a good 2 months+ left) perhaps the fella on Final Score shouldn't really have let the cat out of the bag live on air.

It will be interesting to see if there are no injuries to any of those we think are in contention if they have made it? and who has been left out.

Glad your on my side in thinking we could do something, of course winning it will take some doing & we'll need a little luck along the way...but i think we are overdue a GOOD if not GREAT Tournament & that LUCK.

Here's hoping shiny!

I have a GOOD FEELING about ENGLAND this time.
