Damn!

I'm probably one of the very few that fancied a reverse of the Wembley result, so i went with England to win this one away in Spain but Iceland let me down big time by losing to the Swiss at home!
Arghh.

Performance wise?
Not bad, Spain are not the force of old & England have a good, young, fast team & they FINALLY proved it against a BIG name side.

Knew Sterling would come good for England eventually (just a shame it didn't happen in the World Cup!!! had he done so along with Ali we may well have gone on to win it?)
Kane's ball in to Sterling was perfect.
Some young newbies included who did OK, would like to have seen FODEN in here (i still think had he been in the WC Squad he could have unlocked the likes of Croatia) Sado looks promising & is doing well for Dortmund, Tripper was back!

And yet i still think our GK (as seen here) has MISTAKES in him (much like Joe Hart) and this mistake should have led to a penalty for Spain!
Why they mess about back there is anyone's guess? and he does it a lot (like Joe) so Pickford needs to not get cocky thinking he has the No 1 England spot & concentrate.

Much promise with this young England side...probably won't make the Semi-Finals for this first UEFA Nations League but hopefully we'll avoid relagation? in what was clearly the MOST DIFFICULT Group!

A few disappointing England results after the WC but the recent two games against both CROATIA & SPAIN away have been very promising, although having been 3-0 up at HT against Spain & then being pegged back to 3-2 needs to be addressed but taken as a whole i think ENGLAND are proving they are a force to reckon with.
