I have noticed what I will call a little "tension" in some of our games over the last couple of days and though it would be good to remind everyone of 888 Table Etiquette as listed in their help section.

Searching the WWW will give you various versions of pretty much the same things but feel free to add anything you think will help others learn.

1 thing I would add is that coming to a table and game as an observer and trying to create tension will not been seen in a good light by the players in the game.

Table Etiquette

888poker's believes in the Golden Rule-treating others as you would like to be treated. Therefore, the normal courtesies extended at traditional Poker tables are also expected at our Poker tables. Please see the list below for 888poker's etiquette guidelines:

  • Think it. Say it. Don't type it!
  • Intimidation or harassment of other Members at the table will not be tolerated.
  • Congratulating a winning player is always seen favorably.
  • Do not engage in "shouting matches" with other Members at the table.
  • Lagging is a natural occurrence on the Internet. As it is unavoidable, please be polite when notifying a Member who is lagging.

  • We are fully aware that English is not the first language of many of our players worldwide. However, at this current time, our policy upholds that this is the only language permitted in our chat application.

99% agree Chris but Im not saying NH when runner runner has busted my aces but hey nor would I abuse the person thats just a personal preference of mine... I like the treat others as you would like to be treated yourself this is a good mantra not only for poker but for life also!!  And I always keep in mind the person has entered the game be that paying or not and their chips are theirs to do with as they please full stop....

Congratulations! You have found a Bonus Egg to add to your basket. Happy 888 Easter!

I may have overlooked the section addressing how to deal with players with lewd comments. I have taken a screenshot of conversation that's taken place at a table. Actually, this was not the first table it occurred at, with this user. I dont see it necessary to be called abusive names, even if a a player IS carefully disguising the words so that he can get away with bad behavior. In fact, I find it even MORE abusive, because he clearly knows it is forbidden here, and creatively jumps over the line.
